- Download a .csv or .xlsx file (no need to open the file)
- Go to Google Drive and create a new spreadsheet
- Click on file and then, in the drop down menu, click on import
- In the top menu of the box that just opened, choose upload
- Drag the file (that you just downloaded) from the bottom left of your screen to the upload box
- A popup will appear with several options. Click on the blue import button at the bottom of the box
- Name your newly imported, fully editable and shareable Google Sheet
Remember to treat all student information and data with the utmost care and privacy on your computer and in Google Drive. Delete downloaded files from your computer and make sure you use a passcode to wake your computer to prevent unauthorized access. In Google, use sharing settings thoughtfully.
