Troubleshooting Google Meet on your Macbook

Is your fan running constantly during Google Meets? Are your Meets laggy? Are you having difficulty connecting to Meets? If so, here are some troubleshooting tips that might help.

Prior to a Meet it may be beneficial to:

1. Restart your MacBook
2. Close or Force Quit any Apps that may have re-opened on their own after login (Spotify, etc. including Google Chrome)
3. Relaunch Chrome; then navigate to Chrome > About Google Chrome (This will check for updates) 
4. Start the Meet
5. Make sure NO other Applications or Google Chrome tabs* are open. 
• Step 5 is important as every Chrome tab that is open is using additional resources that can contribute to problems. Avoid having Tabs reopen when re-launching Chrome.

Additional tips: Troubleshoot issues with Google Meet
