Change the color of text, objects, and backgrounds in Google Docs, Slides and Sheets

Google has embraced color!

In Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, you can:
  • change the color of text, objects, and backgrounds

  • and create custom colors using color values (HEX or RGB), using the built-in color slider, or by using the eyedropper tool to select an existing color on the page.

To use the eyedropper tool to select a custom color for your text:
  1. Highlight the text you want to color.
  2. In the toolbar, click Text color A icon.
  3. In the dropdown menu, click on the eyedropper icon
  4. Using the eyedropper tool, click on any color on your screen and your text will change to that color!
