Add annotations to your presentations in Google Slides

There's a new feature in Google Slides that lets you highlight or emphasize key content while you present.

With the new pen tool, you can circle, underline, draw connections or make quick notes directly on your presentation. These annotations can help make your presentations more engaging, interactive and impactful.

To annotate your Slides presentation
  • Open presentation mode by clicking the ‘Slideshow’ button in the app bar at the top
  • Mouse over the bottom-left side of the viewer and open the three dot menu
  • Select “Turn on the pen”
To erase annotations, use the eraser tool in the bottom left viewer menu.

Note: Annotations are temporary and will disappear once the slideshow (presentation mode) is closed.
