New Interactive features in Google Docs

Smart Chips and Building Blocks add new interactive features in Google Docs. They work together and are super easy to access and use.

To find these new interactive features:

Start by typing @

Typing that one symbol will bring up an entire menu of interactive features that can be added to your document.

Project assets

Launch content tracker

Type @ to insert building blocks and tables that include interactive elements like columns with a dropdown menu that make it easy to update the status of a project. These dropdown menus are editable so you can easily design them to fit your needs!

To insert the file chip, I typed in @ and chose a file in the dropdown that I had been working on recently.
