Account Security!

It is important to manage your Google account security by checking access to your account on a regular basis. You can keep your account safe by staying up-to-date on your security settings.

To access your account's security settings, click on your photo in the circle in the upper right, then on "My Account" in the blue box in the drop down menu.

From My Account, you can:
  • review which devices have been used to sign in your account
  • decide how you want Google to let you know if there's suspicious activity on your account
  • check which devices are accessing your account and remove a device from your account
  • manage security alerts
  • check for suspicious activity
  • manage your information
  • adjust your privacy settings
  • check and adjust your account activity
  • control your content
  • and much more!
I recommend you start with a Security Checkup and if you haven't changed your password recently, go to Sign-in & Security and do that.

In addition, I use 2-step verification on both my work and personal Google accounts for extra security. When you enable 2-Step Verification (also known as two-factor authentication), an extra layer of security is added to your account by having you sign in with something you know (your password) along with something you have (a code sent to your phone). Two steps to verify who you are but quick and easy. Click HERE for more information about 2-step verification.
