NEW in Google Forms: File Upload

A new question type has been added to Google Forms named File Upload. You can now request your respondents upload a file when filling out a form.

Whe creating a form, you can choose the type or types of files to be uploaded and the size limit. Files can be uploaded from the respondent's computer or Google Drive. Files will be uploaded to a folder in your Google Drive.

Some ideas of when to use the File Upload question:
  • collecting presentations files so they can be easily presented from one computer.
  • collecting paperwork from students or parents
  • collecting filetypes that Google Drive doesn't understand like 3D print files.
  • collecting submissions from students not in your classes
