Preview Files in Google Drive with Hovercards

Do you prefer the list layout in Google Drive but find yourself toggling back and forth between the list and grid layouts to preview your files? Google's new Hovercards can help you complete tasks faster without having to switch views or open multiple tabs and files.

When you place your cursor over a file icon in Google Drive, a hovercard will appear with a thumbnail of your file and other relevant information, such as the file type, file owner, who recently modified the file, and when they last modified it.

This new feature also lets you quickly preview videos in Drive. Upon hovering, the video will start playing automatically. Clicking on the video will open it in full-screen mode. You can even turn captions and sound on or off using the icons in the top right corner while previewing the video.

Enjoy a more efficient way to manage and preview your files with Google Drive's new Hovercards!
