Create Shareable Video Presentations in Google Slides

Slides recordings is an exciting new Google Slides feature that lets you easily record yourself presenting, and then share the presentation with others to view.

To record your presentation:

  1. Click on the Record button in the upper right of your slideshow.

Note: If you want to include a pointer while you talk, click on pointer icon just to the left of the record button before you click record. If you don't see the pointer icon, you can enable it by going to View > Live Pointers > Show My Pointer.

  2. Select, "Record new video"

  3. A picture-in-picture view of you will appear in the lower left. You can move that box around or make it larger or smaller. To turn it off, simply click "turn off camera" button next to the red record button.

  4. When you are done, you will have the option to either record again or save your recording to Drive.

For a little extra pizzazz, insert animated GIF's and Stickers into your presentation!

  1. Create a new presentation or open an existing presentation
  2. Go to Insert > Image > GIFs and stickers
  3. Search for GIFs and/or stickers
  4. Click on one or several to insert into slides.
