Shareable Class Templates and Classwork in Google Classroom

Teachers and curriculum leaders can now share links to their classes and class templates in Google Classroom so other educators in their district can preview and import classwork to an existing or new class.

Sharing your classwork with other MSAD #51 teachers

  1. Navigate to Classwork: Open the desired class and go to the "Classwork" page.
  2. Share Classwork Button: Click the button labeled "Share classwork" on this page.

  3. Enable Link Sharing: In the pop-up window, locate the option to "Allow teachers to access via link" and toggle the switch to activate it.

  4. Preview the Shared Content (Optional): To see exactly what teachers will be able to view, click the "Preview link" at the bottom of the window.
  5. Copy and Share the Link: Once you're comfortable with the preview, copy and share the generated link.
Note: Student information, such as assignment submissions, comments, and grades, will not be visible when sharing classwork.

Once you share your classwork, fellow educators can easily access and incorporate it into their own classes.

  1. Previewing Shared Class: They don't need to download anything! They can simply click the link you provide, which will open the shared class directly in their browser. This allows them to preview all the materials and activities included.

  2. Selecting Classwork for Import: After reviewing the shared class content, educators can choose specific assignments, quizzes, or other materials they want to import into one of their own classes.

  3. Imported as Drafts: When they import the selected classwork, it will be saved in draft mode within their chosen class. This allows them to customize the materials further before assigning them to their students.
